From A Tiny Seed To A Juicy Apple
One activity we recommend to include are these great coloring printables!
Begin with explaining to your children, what seeds need to grow. You can explain how an apple needs lots of sun, water, nutrients, soil, and air to sprout from a tiny seed into a sprout. You can show them how the roots of the sprouts being to emerge spreading out into the soil.
The stem of the plant starts to grow strong and tall towards the sunlight, spouting leaves along the way.
Did you know that apple trees will not begin to produce apples until they are 5 to 8 years old!
When spring comes beautifully scented white blossoms bloom on the trees and buzzing bees come and pollinate each flower. Each pollinated blossom that falls from a tree will slowly be replaced by an apple!
Throughout the summer the apples grow bigger, riper and juicier and at the end of the summer, they are picked, washed and stored!
